2023 Foothills Region One Act Play Festival

The 2023 Foothills Regional One Act Festival took place on May 12th and 13th in High River and was hosted by Windmill Theatre Players.

2020 Foothills Region One Act Play Festival

The Foothills Regional One Act Play Festival was scheduled to be hosted by Nose Creek Players in Airdrie AB. The dates are April 24th and 25th, 2020.

The Foothills Regional Festival took place April 26 & 27, 2019 and was hosted by Windmill Theatre Players at the Highwood Memorial Centre.

2018 Foothills Region One Act Play Festival

The Foothills Zone Regional Festival was hosted by Windmill Theatre Players in High River March 23, 24, 25, 2018.

The 3 day Festival was adjudicated by Aaron Coates of Calgary.
There were 15 Plays entered by 5 Theatre groups, including Windmill Theatre Players High River, Dewdney Players Okotoks, Nose Creek Players Airdrie, Pine Tree Players Canmore, and Strathmore Theatre Players Guild. 

Special thanks to Windmill Theatre Players for an incredible Festival weekend, and to Aaron Coates for his outstanding Adjudication, as well as to all the Festival Participants and Theatre audience.

2017 Foothills Region One Act Play Festival

The Foothills Regional One Act Festival was held in Okotoks Alberta by the host group Dewdney Players. This two day event took place on April 28th and 29th 2017. Adjudicated by the Lovely Valerie Planche with 11 Entries in total from Airdrie, High River, Okotoks and Canmore. A wonderful weekend of quality community Theatre.

2016 Foothills Region One Act Play Festival

The Foothills 2016 Regional Festival was held on April 21st and April 22nd in Beautiful Canmore AB

Hosted by Pine Tree Players (Canmore) and held at the quaint Minors Union Hall. The weekend was Adjudicated by Stephen Hair. 15 Plays were entered from several areas of the region, including Canmore, Okotoks, High River, Nanton, Strathmore and Cochrane. The winners are as follows:

Best Actor: Jeremy White, Canmore, Pine Tree Players
Best Actress: Cathy Cox, Cochrane, Vision Theatre
Best Production: My Narrator, Canmore, Pine Tree Players
Best New Work: Melanie Desroches playwright of Ada and Eric, Canmore, Pine Tree Players
Best Director: Lauren Zulyniak, Strathmore Theatre Players Guild (For Whom The Southern Belle Tolls)
