Yellowhead Region
Hello Yellowhead thespians! It is time once again to start planning for our regional one act festival, which will be held April 10 and 11, 2026, at Eleanor Pickup Arts Centre in Drayton Valley.
And did you know that our region is hosting the Alberta Drama Festival Association Provincial One Act Festival at City Life Church in Leduc, May 29-31, 2026? I would love to see lots of entries in our regional festival so we can really show off the best of Yellowhead at this year's provincials.
Registration deadline for the regional festival is March 15. We already have three tentative entries, including one from a new group in Beaumont! I am hoping for representation from every part of our region. I have also booked an adjudicator.
Other things to keep in mind: Ashley Luckwell has come on board as my assistant director and will be helping plan the Drayton Valley festival. We welcome other volunteer help!
I will also be looking for volunteers to help organize, plan and execute the provincial festival.

This is going to be a fun year in Yellowhead as we welcome theatre groups from all over Alberta!
